Abstract

Y. In the present study, by the reaction of H2
valen, Cu(NO3
)2
·3H2
O, PrCl3
·6H2
O and NaN(CN)2
in MeOH
solution, a new heterometallic CuII–PrIII complex with the chemical formula of [(Cu(valen)Pr(NO3
)(CH3
OH)(dca)
(μ-dca)]2
(1, H2
valen = 1,2-ethanediylbis(2-iminomethylene-6-methoxy-phenol, dca = dicyanamide) has been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction and elemental analysis. After the synthesis of the new
compound, whether it exert protective effect on the renal failure was needed to be evaluated in this present research.
The detail mechanism of the new compound was explored as well. Molecular docking simulation revealed that the
Pr and Cu mixed ion complex could facilitate the imino group to be interacting with the active residue and form the
hydrogen bond, therefore, the observed biological activity has been understood from the molecule level
