Abstract

In recent years, inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses also rank first
in the structure of diseases of the otorhinolaryngological organs and remain one of the most pressing problems. Deterioration of the environment, an increase in the number of respiratory viral infections and allergens lead to the development of inflammatory diseases of the mucous membranes of the nose and nasal pockets - rhinitis and sinusitis. Currently, the level of evidence of the effectiveness of phytopreparations in ARS,
according to the European Consensus Protocol for the treatment of rhinitis and rhinosinusitis (European
Position Paper on Rhinosinusitis and Nasal Polyps, EPOS; 2012), is Ib, and the strength of recommendations
is level A. nasal gel with a prolonging action based on pectin and biologically active substances from different
parts of grapefruit fruits (liquid extract) grown in Azerbaijan. We investigated the rheological properties of
a nasal gel made on the basis of pectin. The paper presents data on the study of the rheological behavior of
the nasal gel for the dependence of the limit (point) of the ointment flow on temperature, the shear stress
at which indicates the extrusion force when the ointment is squeezed out of the tube. And also studied the
mechanical stability of the ointment. The studies carried out indicate the absence of a cardinal dependence
of rheological properties on temperature and fracture rate.
