Abstract

We all know that Covid has changed our life's two years back since starting of 2020 an epidemic of cases with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-Cov-2) has spread continuously  from China to the entire  world, resulting in a global pandemic and huge sufferings on the part of families , individuals, children etc . Starting from the first months of 2020, many  restrictions have been imposed by governments to face the public health threat, and maintain the effect of Covid 19 and impacting the usual patterns of drug abuse  throughout the entire world .Drug Abuse has been the major concerns these days even the children getting a fall trap as during lockdown people can’t move out and they took drugs or substance as periodic medicines which in turn is affecting their healthy more badly .  The temporary border closure affected the usual illicit drug route of shipping from country to country, resulting in scarcity of classic street drugs . Also many other , restrictive measures internationally adopted by several countries made necessary to close all the usual recreational settings in which stimulants drugs are commonly abused. On the contrary, since in house drugs abuse became the most feasible option, other private encounters might have caught on, such as chemise .In particular this phenomenon, which originated mainly in the large cities of Northern Europe, U.K has gradually spread across the continent and is now a worrying reality in western European countries. Other rising trends of substance abuse include cognitive enhancers and new psychoactive substances Furthermore, the consequent social isolation and the likely limited access to detoxification centers caused additional psychological distress, pushing drug addicts toward alternative psychotropic drugs, possibly through illegal online marketplaces. People are getting addicted to the drug abuse in due course of time even in India and throughout the world .

Substance abuse, also known as drug addiction, is defined as a chronic, recurrent brain disorder characterized by compulsive drug seeking and use despite its harmful consequences. Addiction in any form is dangerous. To make matters worse, the main victims of this storm are young children and adolescents. Most illicit drug users start between the ages of 16 and 17. It starts with just smoking and gradually falls into the trap of substance abuse. Stress, anxiety, peer pressure, and poverty are some of the leading causes of substance abuse
