Formulation and evaluation of sun tan lotion containing herbal extract

Abstract

Consumer desire for herbal products led to the development of herbal cosmetics, which are those items made from natural herbs and their derivatives that are utilised for their aromatic properties in cosmetic preparations. Lotions are fluid formulations designed for friction-free exterior application. Sunscreen lotion is a type of product that shields users from the sun's damaging rays by containing ultraviolet radiation (UV rays), which are further broken down into UVA and UVB varieties. According to the sun protection factor (SPF) and the negative side effects of hazardous chemicals, including herbal ingredients in sunscreen is one of the most efficient and all-natural ways to defend against the sun. The goal of the current study was to create natural sunscreens with Mangifera indica and aloe vera that are helpful for skin and guard against skin cancer, sunburn, and damaging UV radiation. Sunscreens made from herbs are assessed The F1batch herbal sunscreens performed well, according to the results.
