Abstract

Peoples are nowadays very conscious about their skin and hygiene , Facial skin is very delicate and use of normal soaps are harsh on face along with it various cosmetic products such as use of lots of makeup makes facial skin more sensitive  and it may cause moisture loss of skin , blocking of oil glands and production of acne. Acne is mostly common in 60 to 70 % of the general population.  Use of Face wash on face  are more safe than various harsh soaps which may cause moisture loss on face and face becomes dull. Antiacne facewash may contains chemicals which resist the acne formation. Sometimes chemical may causes various skin conditions such as skin irritation or redness of skin hence, most of people avoid chemicals to treat the acne. Herbal drugs are readily acceptable by peoples as they have no side effects on skin, Many herbal plants have antibacterial, antiaging and antioxidant properties, Which are also mentioned in Veda’s, present paper is showing such plants like neem, Bael leaf, mint, barks like Cinnamon, steams like Liquorice, essential oils like lavender oil and roots like Turmeric etc, having these  Antimicrobial properties which generally inhibits bacteria causing acne vulgaris, hence, used for Anti acne purpose in Facewash preparation.
