Abstract

Background: The skin covers the majority of the body's exterior surface. Sparsha Pariksha, also known as a skin examination, is a component of Ashtasthana Pariksha, often referred to as Ashtavidha Pariksha. Hence, in this study an attempt is made to collect the available data information and review on tool development for Ayurvedic Twacha (Skin) Examination. Material and methods: Information related to Sparsha Pariksha (Skin Examination) from Ayurvedic texts web-based search engines, journal, were searched and presented in systematic manner. Result: By applying a variety of techniques and subjective criteria in diverse deha prakriti conditions, the health of the skin can be determined. All Acharyas mention sparsha, and it is also a part of the Trividha, Shadavidha, and Ashtasthan Pariksha. Sparsha plays a significant role in diagnosis. All of them demonstrate the value of Sparsha pariksha in diagnosis. Twacha is a recognised diagnostic, prognostic, and clinical tool in the field of medical science.  Conclusion: Twacha (Skin) is a well-established instrument in clinical examination, diagnostic & prognostic aspect in medical science, it can be inferred. In everyday practise, the use of objective parameter assessment as an investigative technique must be embraced.
