Abstract

Polymer nano-compositeplays a vital role in the field of nanotechnology because of its less weight and moderate strength. With an expected annual growth rate of about 25% and fastest demand to be in engineering plastics and elastomers, their potential is so remarkable that they are useful in several areas ranging from packaging to biomedical applications. The present study aims to the synthesis of Curcumin loadedChitosan@BiFeO3 nanoparticles and to investigate their structure, morphology, thermal, magnetic properties  as well as anti-microbial and anti-cancer activity. The Curcumin loadedChitosan@BiFeO3nanoparticles are synthesized based on the soft chemical route and  subjected to the various analysis  such as XRD, FT-IR, UV-Vis, SEM, TGA and VSM .  The  anti-microbial activities are determined from the gram positive and gram negative bacteria and  the anticancer activity is measured  using PA1 cell lines. The results are clearly proves the structural, strength, anti-microbial and anticancer activity of Curcumin loadedChitosan@BiFeO3 nanoparticles. Hence, these nanoparticles may be used as a drug in near future.
