Abstract

This paper presents a comprehensive study of dorsal sacral agenesis on adult human dry sacrum bones. The study explores the morphological lterations that occur in the condition, along with the associated clinical implications. A systematic methodology was employed, which included a meticulous examination of 50 sacrum bones out of which 3 showed visible signs of dorsal sacral agenesis. The findings suggest substantial structural changes in the affected sacrum, compromised bone density and strength, and significant clinical implications such as lower back pain and impaired mobility. Comparisons with previous studies confirmed the consistency of these findings while also highlighting the scarcity of comprehensive research in this area. The paper underscores the necessity for future studies to develop effective treatment strategies, focusing particularly on the fundamental sacral deformity, rather than solely managing symptoms
