Abstract

The use of essential oils as functional ingredients in foods, drinks, toiletries, and cosmetics is gaining momentum, both for the growing interest of consumers in ingredients from natural sources and also because of increasing concern about potentially harmful synthetic additives. The aim of the present study is to formulate a perfume from the essential oil of rosemary and lemongrass. In this, extraction of rosemary uses fractional and vacuum distillation, and for lemongrass hydrodistillation and solvent extraction method was used. Physical evaluation like pH, appearance, rheology, FTIR, etc study was done. The perfume shows better results for all parameters.
