Abstract

Dermatoglyphics can be used as a predictive model to diagnose various dental diseases and anomalies in the human population. Dermatoglyphics is the logical investigation of dermal edge designs on region and zone surfaces of the hands and feet. Dermal edges and the essential sense of taste are framed during the sixth – seventh day stretch of intrauterine life; genetic and natural variables causing changes in unique finger impression examples may likewise prompt dental irregularities. The advantages of Dermatoglyphics as a diagnostic aid are the relative simplicity, versatility, and faster interpretation of the findings, simple in procedure, unlike routine blood and other investigations. This is a delicate test of intrauterine irregularities, both dental and systemic anomalies. The present article will feature the dermatoglyphic highlights and attributes in some regular clinical dental conditions, alongside the strategy for enrolling prints, focal points, and limits of Dermatoglyphics.
