Abstract

Government schemes are programmers launched by the government to improve the standard of living of all citizens. They are launched for the purpose of improving the livelihood of the people and providing security for leading a better life. Each scheme is launched to provide benefits to the individual in certain areas of their life. Some schemes grant financial security while others aim to provide socio-economic measures.The present study title: “Knowledge regarding   Government Schemes for girls among adults in selected areas of Pune city.” The objective was to assess In this study assesses refers to check the knowledge regarding government schemes and adult means both male and female. Material and Methods: Researcher adopted  descriptive research design It was carried out on 300 samples.The Non-probability convenience sampling technique was used. Simple Random sampling technique was used. Data analysis was done mainly using descriptive statistics. Result:Result revealed that majority 50.3% has poor knowledge, 42.3% have average knowledge and 7.3% have good knowledge regarding government schemes for girls among adults. There was majority 50.3% have poor knowledge, Interpretation of demographic variablesare not significantly associated with level of the 0.05 with the knowledge of adults. A comparative study to assess Knowledge of adults about government Scheme for girls can done in rural and urban area.The study was limited to knowledge of adult and  selected areas of the Pune city.Conclusion: There is no association of demographic variables with pre test scores of socialization level in both control and experimental group which shows that no demographic variables under study can affect the socialization level. Recommendation: Similar  study may be conducted larger population.
