Abstract

The suggested study work's goals and objectives are to create a unique formulation with some herbal medications for the treatment of a few oromucosal illnesses. Creating a unique formulation that releases the medication over an extended period of time to ensure maximum therapy has always been of interest. An innovative, practical, and painless drug delivery method must be created in order to effectively treat conditions affecting the oral mucosa. Allopathic medications, whether used topically or orally, have numerous negative effects and should not be used on patients of any age. As a result, new drug delivery systems using herbal medicines will be safer and more effective for treating oral mucosal illnesses.

The current work aims to develop a rational herbal drug delivery system that is practical for patients, has fewer side effects, good bioavailability, and better therapeutic responses. It also aims to develop an environmentally friendly formulation for mucosal local as well as systemic action, and to optimize excipients, herbal drugs, and other parameters to create a significantly improved and prolonged released drug delivery system. The subject of herbal-based medicine delivery systems requires in-depth study. Therefore, it encourages the creation of a delivery system of this kind.
