An Empirical study to show the Effect of Quality of Work Life on Employee Commitment in the selected Private Health sector after Covid 19 in the Hoshiarpur District

Abstract

Orientation: workmanship played pivotal role in the success of each and every organization. Therefore, it is quite important to acknowledge the concept of wellbeing its relation and its effect on employee commitment, especially in the health sector Hoshiarpur district of Punjab after Covid 19.

 Purpose of Study: The general motive in present research is to evaluate the impact of predictor on dependent and also to identify the relation between predictor (quality of work life) and dependent (employee commitment) especially in health sector in Hoshiarpur district Punjab after the Pandemic Covid 19.

Encouragement for the study: No doubt, there were lots of study on these two variables in many sectors but there is lack of research that show the effect and relation between predictor and dependent variable makes it challenging to gain knowledge on the both in health sector in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab especially after Pandemic.

Research design: A descriptive study with population of N = 69 health sector employees was utilised in the Hoshiarpur district. Tanya Nayak’s workplace empowerment related to workmanship of nursing and employee commitment reflective scale were used to collect the data. In order to conduct a pilot study, the survey form was electronically sent to the employees of the health sector of Hoshiarpur district. To check the internal consistency of all items in determinants Cronbach alpha has been calculated with threshold limit of minimum criteria of 0. 707.The Cronbach’s alpha, mean, standard deviation, as well as correlation, were calculated using IBM, SPSS 25 version software. The total score i.e., 0.729 met the threshold limit.

Main findings: The Results indicated that both predictor and dependent variable are perfectly correlated and the predictor also has shown its influence on the dependent. 

Practical implications: From findings it could be observed that both dependent and independent variables are perfectly and significantly correlated with each other and the independent variable has put its effect on dependent in the health sector after pandemic COVID 19.

Contribution: The improved understanding of the impact of quality of work life on employee commitment in health sector contribute to the theory of QWL as well as its effect on dependent variable, especially in health sector in Hoshiarpur district in the state of Punjab mainly after this Covid 19.
