Abstract

Learning Management Systems (LMS) are vital tools for universities to manage learning activities, but their complexity grows with increasing student enrollments. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) offers a promising solution by automating repetitive tasks through software robots. This abstract explores the potential of RPA in university LMS, aiming to automate procedures, improve efficiency, save time, eliminate errors, enhance accuracy, manage data effectively, and scale operations. Implementing RPA in LMS allows staff to focus on curriculum design, teaching, and student support, fostering education, student experience, and university growth. By reducing stress and increasing satisfaction among faculty and staff, RPA positively impacts LMS operations. The study conducts a systematic literature review to examine RPA's implementation, benefits, challenges, and provide recommendations. RPA automation in LMS streamlines tasks like course registration, enrollment, and grading, leading to improved efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings. However, challenges arise from deployment complexity, costly software and hardware requirements, and compliance with data protection and privacy standards. Universities must carefully consider the impact on education quality and ensure a positive learning experience. Prioritizing the adoption of RPA technology can help universities optimize their educational processes and enhance LMS functionality.
