Abstract

The purpose of the present study is to develop the content of a treatment protocol for grief based on factors related to it for COVID-19 mourners. The present study is applied in terms of purpose and qualitative in terms of method. The present study was conducted using the thematic analysis method among qualitative methods. To collect data, select analysis sources (individuals who had lost one of their first degree relatives (father, mother, sister or brother) due to corona), define and identify the research variable (factors related to grief), analysis sources (Tehran residents who had lost one of their first degree relatives (father, mother, sister or brother) due to corona) were selected, interviewed and finally analysis units were categorized. 8 sessions of integrated grief therapy were designed and then its validity was evaluated based on the American Psychological Association's guidelines for evaluating therapeutic guidelines and the 42-question questionnaire for evaluating treatment sessions by professors and specialists. Data were analyzed using content validity index and content validity ratio. The content validity index was 1 and the content validity ratio was 1, indicating the validity of the sessions. Therefore, integrated grief therapy was valid both in terms of the theoretical model of treatment and in terms of session content, and can be used as a treatment for those experiencing grief in crisis.
